Barb Moore is a Canadian visual artist currently in Sydney, Australia. In May 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Emily Carr Institute, Vancouver, having received the Governor Generals Academic Medal for achieving the highest academic standing in a Bachelor degree program. Moore's work showed at the 2007 Toronto International Art Fair with great critical success, being compared to Mary Pratt and William Fisk, garnering the attention of more than a dozen international galleries. Her first solo exhibition, titled Take That, took place at the Jeffrey Boone Gallery in November 2007. Moore's work has also been exhibited in many group exhibitions including Greased Wheels, Elliott Louis Gallery, No North and Drawing Expo '07, Gaff Gallery, The International Flipbook Festival, Western Front, and Fresh, 1095 W. Pender, among others. Ms. Moore has been accepted to attend Goldsmiths, University of London, in the UK to complete her Masters degree in painting.
